Forêt is a sensory opera, a holistic work of art that combines electronic music with movement, 3D-lighting and video projections, which create an embodied and visually impressive experience for the audience. Non-human creatures such as sound-responsive black holes and labyrinths materialize on stage, as we witness dialogue between the cosmos and a shamanic figure.

Compagnie D’autres Cordes specializes in digital art and audiovisual and live performances, and has performed in several internationally acclaimed festivals. Their appearance in Jyväskylä Festival is the group’s first performance in Finland. The director Franck Vigroux is a French musician, composer and media artist, who combines new media and performing arts in his work.
